Introduction and How it works

Welcome!

We are Keys 4 Autism, www.keys4autism.com, and we are so excited to offer online courses like this one and others. This is the first in the "Book Unit" series of courses, and we couldn't be more excited about it!

Here's How It Works as a unit study along with the book, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe:

Each week, you and your child will read 3 chapters of the Chronicles of Narnia book, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, by C. S. Lewis. The last week, you will only have 2 chapters to read, for a total of 17 chapters in a 6 week time frame. You will receive a lesson each week, by email with a clickable link, to compliment the reading of the book. There is plenty of room to play catch up if you get behind, and you needn't read the book at all to complete the lessons. You can also feel free to read ahead!

The Lessons can be used without the book:

While the lessons compliment the book, they also can stand alone, so no worries if you are behind in reading. You can still enjoy the lessons. Please jump in at any point and never feel behind.

Each section of the Book Unit Course has opportunity for your child to discuss the book and/or the lessons via a comments section, so be sure to join in that fun!

How to use the Lessons:

Each lesson has many kinds of questions. You know where your child is and can choose the questions you'd like to ask. Don't feel like you have to ask all the questions! The ones noted with **are expansions, and ***indicates even more open ended. Again, there are a lot of choices for questions, I suggest you look at the lesson ahead of time, become familiar with the 'say, do, ask' format, and choose which questions you plan to ask. Feel free to adlib and to reword open ended questions into more narrow or even Teach/ask questions, depending upon your needs. Have fun and empower your students with information!
